About
The Norton–Polk–Mathis House, officially known as Villa Finale Museum & Gardens, is a historic house at 401 King William St. in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The house and its collection of 12,850 objects were donated to the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 2004, which operates the property as a museum. Villa Finale, which opened to the public in 2010, has 6,500 square feet. It was the first National Trust Historic Site in Texas. The home was named by its donor, Walter Nold Mathis (1919-2005), who became an eminent preservationist, both in the immediate King William neighborhood of San Antonio, and in other cities within Texas. Photographs and a virtual tour of the museum are available through Google Arts & Culture.
